Birthday Planning Begins

So Evelyn turns one in a little over 2 months and yes, I'm already planning her birthday party. As in, decorations have already been made. Check out my little weekend project. I'm pretty happy with the turn out.

Got the wooden frames for $1.00 at Michael's and glitter scrapbook paper at Hobby Lobby. Cut, cover, complete!

Fashion No No

Whoever started this look and thinks that it looks good is an idiot. If you wear your shirt this way you look like a fool. The end.

Giddy Up

This is for all you Oak Ridge Boys lovers out there.  I'll be real honest with you, I only know like 2 of their songs and when I say "know" I mean know some of the chorus.  BUT I never pass up the chance to stalk celebrities.

I got the chance this weekend to go backstage at an Oak Ridge Boys concert and took some pictures that some of you may enjoy.  When I say backstage I mean backstage but I mean backstage 5 hours before they went on so I didn't see any of them but I did walk by their tour bus and take pictures in front of it while they were on it.  AND I did see several of their band members.
now, if it was New Kids on the Block you BETTER believe I would stay next to that bus ALL. FRIGGIN. DAY.  Buuuut it wasn't.  So I moved on.

For your viewing pleasure.  I give you the Oak Ridge Boys.....tour bus.....the outside.....of the trailer on the back.

So this isn't exactly the tour bus.....but it's connected to it.

Oh wait, who is that on that poster that's backstage?
Oh yeah, it's me.
-side note: that's my husband playing the saxophone.
And my sister's in the middle.

That poster's there for life people.

Evelyn backstage

Birdie and me in front of the bus.

There you have it.
This is what I do on a Saturday when I have nothing else to do.

Thirty Two And Fabulous

Happy (one day ago) Birthday to me!!  Guess what world?  I'm 32 years old now.  And I'm feeling fabulous about it! I've always told myself that the 30's is where it's at and I totally still feel the same.  Although I'm only 2 years into it they are pretty rad!  It was a pretty low key birthday this year.  That's kind of how I like it these days.  Especially this year with Evelyn being a part of the celebration.  It means more just to spend time with her.

My co-workers surprised me Friday with a festive cubical.  How sweet of them!

Friday night my husband took me out to have some pizza at Hideaway Pizza.  I don't go there often but I should probably go some more.  Pretty good stuff.  Would have also loved to go to Cherry Berry but it was bed time for Evelyn so that trumped any plans for the evening that were set to take place after 8:00.  Sorry Cherry Berry, I'll catch ya next time.

Cousin Kaycee
(look at you making the blog)

She's got her eyes on something!

My beautiful family.
Completely in love with them!

Had a little game night on Saturday.
Someone brought this game.
This game is not recommended for children.
If you're not easily offended you should check this game out.
The end.

Took Monday off and spent my birthday with this little precious.
Totally wanted to call in today to spend another day with her.

And I also spent the day with this little precious too.
She obviously had to go to the bathroom.
And yes, she can open this door.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!

Thirty-Two here I come!

Sunday Post

Happy birthday eve to me!!  Tomorrow I turn the big 32.  Feeling pretty good about it.  I always thought people in their 30's were old and uncool.  And they very well might be but in my mind I'm still pretty hip.  Sometimes.  Actually, I'm pretty boring and unadventurous as they come.  Not that I've ever been this party animal living on the edge but I'm  super content these days just sitting at home on a Friday and Saturday night watching some HGTV and scrapbooking.  Okay, okay, you're right. I know what you're thinking. I did this before I had a baby.....but now it's totally acceptable :)

Speaking of scrapbooking, my Cricut is about to get real real busy.  We just attended our friend's little girls first birthday party and it hit me.....Evelyn will be one in less than 3 months.  I better get busy planning that party!  I've been scouring Pinterest like a fool this past week and finding so many neat ideas.  Let's be honest about something real fast.  A baby is not the reason why I go into work looking like I haven't slept.  It's Pinterest.  Secret's out.

Obviously she isn't "into" anything yet so it might be the one and only time I get to pick the theme myself.  Thought about going with pink elephants (I love me some sweet little pink elephants) but since we call her Birdie it only makes sense to go with a bird theme.  These are some of my favorites that I've pinned so far.

How cute are these tiny balloons?
I freaking love them!

I like the full length tutu.

This cake is just precious!

I find these a little scary yet so funny.

Another cute cake.  I really like the colors on here.  And the E :)

Speaking of E.....

I can't get enough of this face! This one cracks me up!
And I love her little white pants or what my sister referred to  them as her "BeeGee Pants"

Happy Sunday!

April

PS - Congratulations to our friends Dustin and Rachel on the birth of their twin girls yesterday!  Can't wait to see those sweet faces.
