Here Comes the Bride…..

Eeeeeeeee!!!! I am so happy to announce that my cousin Kaycee got engaged a week ago today!!! (it also happened to be my 33rd birthday)  I am so thrilled for this time in her life.  She has been dating Zach's high school best friend for a few years now and we've already considered him a part of the family for awhile and it's pretty cool that he really is going to be a part of the family.  I can't think of a better guy for her.

So happy for the both of you!!

It's funny how when we shared an apartment we would talk about being old maids and no one would ever love us.  Now look at us, gonna be married to high school best friends.  Who would have ever thought :)

They were both in our wedding but I don't think they paid one ounce of attention to each other.  So funny!

I don't want to say that I didn't enjoy planning my wedding (way more stressful and not as much fun as I thought it would be) but I'm pretty excited about all the events of this engagement and wedding.  I think maybe because I can sit back and enjoy it and just have fun.

We cooked out this weekend and while in Wal*Mart picking up some things for Easter I decided to make the cookout an "engagement party."  It was a little cheesy but fun :)

We've joked for awhile that we all need her to get engaged so that we would have a reason to be real serious about losing weight.  Now that it's finally here I HAVE to get my self in check. BRIDESMAIDS DRESS SHOPPING!!!

So excited for all the fun stuff that's about to start taking place.  Even scrolling through Pinterest gets me all giddy.
………………...

So I don't think I ever posted this like I promised, so Denver, this is for you.  Welcome to the family!

Sesame Street Live

One of those things that "I can't wait for" happened this weekend with our precious little girl.  We got to take her to a show.  Sesame Street Live.  I think daddy and I were more excited about taking her than her going.  She honestly had no idea what was going on every time we talked about it but it was fun to get excited and hype it up.  Now that she is getting older and "getting into" things it's going to be so much fun to watch her excitement about it.

We started the show off a little rough due to trying to keep her between us in the seats waiting for the show to start.  She wanted to take off and explore and when she wasn't allowed to we had "that kid".  You know, the kid screaming and falling to the ground.  Yeah, that was our precious sweet girl :)

Once the show started she was a brand new kid.  Keeping her eye on Elmo and very  much interested in the smoke in the air.  One of the characters came out into the crowd and messed with her hair and she thought that was pretty cool.  Her smile was of pure happiness and I wanted to freeze that moment for just a little bit.

We also took the time for a little photo shoot this weekend.  The weather was warmer on Saturday and cousin Kaycee got Evelyn a new dress that we just had to wear.  The weather was such a tease because today it was cooooollldd outside. Come on Oklahoma, make up your mind!!

A few of Evelyn's cousins she has never met came into town last night so she got to meet them today and do some playing.  She's not around kids a lot so I love it when she gets the chance to be.  She jumped right in and got to playing and was running around the house just screaming and having the best time.  We are all headed to the aquarium tomorrow so those fish better be ready for a troop of crazy little girls!!

And this just happened. I love it when Phoebe sits like a human.

This dog.

Happy Monday!!

Thursday Night Report

Can you believe it?  Can you believe that this little girl of ours is going to be 2 in THREE MONTHS!! Man has time gone by fast.  I keep stopping myself from saying "I can't wait until Evelyn gets to ________." when I see something another kid is doing or an activity that I want to do with Evelyn when she is older.  The truth is, I can wait and I'm working on not saying this.  I don't want to be so exited about the future of experiencing new things with Evelyn that I don't enjoy the moments I'm in.  So yes, it's going to be awesome when Evelyn learns to ride a bike or do arts and crafts with me but  right now I'm enjoying her repeating everything we say (everything) learning her letters and numbers and soaking this world up like a little sponge.  She's just the coolest little learner.

No, I haven't done any of her party planning yet but I'm about to get real busy with it.  Our mailbox has been flooded with birthday party invites in the past couple of months so I'm picking up some ideas for Evelyn's party.  It's so fun to get those invites :) Each one makes me happy.

Feeding ourself at lunch.

Rockin' some piggies!

What the hair looks like after a nap when the piggies have been taken out.
(Yikes!)

Not sure what this pose it :)

Learning how to earn her keep.

And you can't forget about this baby!

We got the chance to take a parents night out this past Friday to see Lady Antebellum.  Best part was Kacey Musgraves as the opening act.  She's pretty cool and was excellent live.  Best version of No Scrubs that I have heard.  And that includes me doing it at karaoke.  (note: never do this song at karaoke.  It never ends.)

"I work out!"

Oh yeah, we are throwing ourself to the ground now.

Have a good weekend everyone! We have a busy one full of baby showers, birthday parties and playdates.
